SARDINIA

An island to discover with unmissable destinations

If it is relaxation that you want, what better choice than Sardinia and its amazing beaches. But Sardinia also offers art and culture, sport and adventure and much more. The island is not only famous for its beaches and sea, but also has many other tours for visitors to enjoy.

If it is adventure you are looking for, the Su Mannau Caves in Fluminimaggiore in South-West Sardinia with 5 km of stalactites and stalagmites will not disappoint you.

But if it is art and culture that interests you, a 100 km drive on the SP2 will take you to Pula, close to which are the ruins of Nora. A thriving city founded by the Phoenicians in the 8th century BC with 3 thousand years of history, Nora is today one of the most important archaeological sites in Sardinia with a lagoon populated by sea turtles and cetaceans at the risk of extinction thanks to the work of the recovery centre. For visitors, the centre also offers canoe trips, snorkelling and guided tours.

In southern Sardinia just a few kilometres away is the beautiful bay of Chia. Its shallow waters makes Chia the perfect choice for families with young children; Chia is famous for its beautiful white sandy beaches such as Su Giudeu and Cala Cipolla. Often swept by the Mistral, the beaches attract surfers and kitesurfs from all over the world. For those who enjoy water sports there are also many bathing facilities that rent equipment and offer lessons by qualified instructors.
